I joined the Donkey Association of Western Australia

Don’t be too concerned. I’m not planning on buying a donkey but I do have some books that are donkey-related and I was thinking the association’s Facebook page would be a good place to advertise the books. I applied for membership and was accepted so now I need to take photos of the books. I wrote down the details of each one last night. It’s all part of my decluttering plan. The photo is of a donkey I saw in Austria.

We have a lot of donkeys in America…most of them running for political office. (Sorry, that was an insult…to the donkey.) I hope you can get the books sold to someone who’d greatly appreciate them.

Sometimes it's hard to get information to a group that might have some interest in what you're selling. This seemed a good idea to me!

Hmmm…I was wondering if we had a donkey association here in the US, and then I realized we do…it’s the political party of our current President! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your membership and can find a buyer of your books!

@JudyEv It’s the Democratic Party (liberals). They have a donkey as their mascot/symbol. Our other major political party is the Republicans (conservatives). They have an elephant as their mascots/symbol.

They do call one party the donkey party, don't they? I'm sure I've read it somewhere.

As long as they don’t mind people listing things like that for sale it may wind up being a good idea

I thought that may be your Post has something to do with Donekys welfare or conservation(if applicable). Yet the Facebook page might be a good place. And yes, de-cluttering can be a real pain. We have our De-cluttering on hold for some time due to certain reasons, but will resume in some time.

@JudyEv Yes and at times, we cannot go too fast on de cluttering. There are essential things as well.

Stuff just seems to accumulate however much you try to limit what you bring into the house.

I've heard that donkeys are pretty kool all things considered, if I were younger I'd adopt one.

I would if I had the money but their upkeep is more expensive than what I spend on my pets.

@rebelann Yes, that's true. I 'adopted' a red panda at the zoo one year. It was given to me as a Christmas present.

You can adopt one of the English ones - and I guess others too. They also have webcams in their barns.

The donkey looks well cared for, that's for sure. Thanks for the good wishes. I haven't put them up yet. I'm still writing up descriptions.

Oddly enough, a radio host mentioned last week that she had joined/supported a donkey sanctuary or something like that.

We visited a donkey sanctuary in Devon, England. There were literally hundreds of donkeys there.

I think I'll stipulate that they must be picked up. It would be expensive to post them.

They run shows from time to time and have competitions of various sorts - perhaps a handy donkey event or best presented. I've only been to a couple.
