Good morning.
George woke up an hour early and decided he was ready to get out of bed. So we're ahead by about an hour. Instead of waiting until ten AM to give him his first tube feed, I did it around nin thirty when he got dressed. Was done before ten and gave him his blood thinner on time.
While I was doing my own morning routine, Halifax called, and now we can stop at both hospitals and pick up the cds the va wants. Since George needs a blood draw, we can get it done all at once. Depending on how he feels after the VA, we might hit Winn-Dixie to pick up some Pepsi and other things. We'll play that one by ear.

I don't know about that. He's lying on the couch with his eyes closed. He's not asking to watch t.v. so we'll see. Nursing is coming over to do a formal discharge so she'll check him over.

Sounds like you're making the most of an early morning with George! Good thinking on getting his feeding and meds done early. Double win getting the CDs and blood work done at once at the VA. Hope George feels up for Winn-Dixie, but totally understandable if he needs to relax at home. Here's to a productive day for you both!

Waiting for rides took forever, so I didn't get him to the VA in time. So we're going back tomorrow for his bloodwork.
