Enlarged To Show Texture

The box says, "Enlarged to show texture?" I mean, what are they talking about? 400 times enlarged? I bought this box from Trader Joe's and when I pulled the chicken out, I have to admit I was cracking up. Are you SERIOUS? I mean, these things are smaller than even a Chicken McNugget from McDonald's for Heaven's sake! We will savor every bite. Luckily the wife made a cucumber salad for a side and I made fried potatoes with onions and peppers. Because I think we are going to need it. Seriously Trader Joe's? You packaged this with a straight face?

I used to buy these for the kids - I never noticed that on the box . Then for sure they really should enlarge the product .

@porwest It's funny - like why do they even bother to shape them into drumsticks - and then they slap on the name chicken "drummellas" to make them sound fancy . Yah, sometimes these just satisfy your hunger - kinda .

I am a kid at heart, so sometimes I like chicken nuggets, or, in this case, chicken morsels. lol

@much2say Right. Just call them what they are. Nuggets. So long as they taste good, who cares what shapes they are made into? lol

I never buy nuggets, that being said, I just don’t think they are good unless I make them myself. It just doesn’t take me long to put chicken in the oven. I hope they at least taste decent.

Sometimes I just like having something around that is quick and easy to make. Although, I didn't avoid cooking altogether since I made up a batch of fried potatoes with onions and red pepper. The "morsels" turned out to taste pretty good, so that was a plus.

@porwest Well, I am glad they were tasty. My sons both love fried potatoes with onions, and I do, too. I try hard to avoid fried foods, but I do make fried potatoes for us sometimes. Just so good, my kids all love comfort foods. Me, too.

I never buy nuggets or patties. I thought I liked them when once I stole a pattie from the dish of Dixie´s very young grandson (Lucas). I bought a box and after frying a bit and roasting another bit I gave the rest away. Good for me because they are more expensive than real chicken drumsticks and thighs.

They are one of those things that I say have their place, but they are not something I necessarily ever hanker for. I generally like them.

@porwest They don't even look as if they have the same coating either! At least they were tasty though, better than the other way around!

@Fleura Good observation. What was in the box looked not even remotely like what went on the pan.

Quite a few actually. They weren't even at all shaped like what was shown on the box. It gave us a good laugh.

That picture on the packaging is absurd. That being said I NEVER would have bought these mystery chicken parts nugget. That's why I also don't eat hot dogs, sausage, brats, keilbasa, etc.

Smaller than McDonald's chicken McNugget is really small. The packaging is very misleading.

The thing about it was they weren't even shaped at all like what was on the box. They actually tasted pretty good though. lol

They actually tasted pretty good and better than most nuggets I have bought before. So, I guess it was a win of sorts. lol
