Ah, that magical time of year…turn the A/C on at 4 and the furnace on at 6.
Not just here, either: I was listening to the Chicago weather radio and they were having severe weather with a forecast of snow showers later in the evening.
Life in the springtime! Speaking of life, let’s live with more songs with “live” in the title. Here’s today’s song.
I Wouldn’t Want to Live If You Didn’t Love Me - Don Williams
Sometimes it’s hard to remember these songs are that old. This was country crooner Don Williams’ first #1 song…in 1974. Dang, that was fifty years ago!
Oh, I remember first hearing that smooth, mellow voice of his. I fell in love immediately. Not as good as Jim Reeves, but darn close.
Here’s a little trivia for you: Williams started out in a folk group, the Pozo-Seco Singers. From there he moved to country, becoming one of the biggest stars of the 70s and 80s.
Enjoy one of the sweetest voices in country music. (PS: Linda? Maybe. It doesn’t have steel guitar until the fade-out.
)

Definitely makes my list. That being said, I swear I have never heard it before. As for weather, this can be a really confounding time that is a love/hate relationship. lol
Regarding the steel guitar, I heard it throughout the whole song. Were you trying to trick Linda?

Who, me? No, I don’t want a lawsuit for the migraines I give her.
