What Was and What Could Never Be

Do you think of your life as such or do you look forward? I know it is better to have hope, but many people do nothing but regret their losses. Life is a balancing act. While we should be mindful of what was, we cannot let it rule our present efforts. Do you keep trying to change what is wrong in your life?

Gotta keep moving forward since there's no way to change the past. I always believed that we are where we are in life because that's where we're supposed to be regardless of how we got here. I think we all have regrets of some sort.

We absolutely can't give up hope. I remind myself that God didn't promise we wouldn't have problems in life, but He promised He would go through them with us. And even with heartaches, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "

@RebeccasFarm Dear friend, I do hope you don't really believe God isn't listening to you. He knows the desires of your heart and that you love Him. I don't understand why He seems silent at times, but I know He's trustworthy and He loves us.

Hey there! Your reflection on life as a balancing act really resonates with me. It's true, finding that equilibrium between cherishing the past and looking forward to the future can be quite the journey. Regrets are a part of life, but it's heartening to see your emphasis on not letting them overshadow our present efforts. Life's all about growth and learning, right? I try to approach challenges as opportunities for positive change, constantly working on improving what I can.

@RebeccasFarm I only slept for a few hours last night and ended up getting up at 3am and reading for the rest of the night. I had a good nap this afternoon though.

An old friend told me there's no sense trying to change the past because it ain't gonna happen. So true. All we can do is move with the present - hopefully improving as we go forward.

You learn from past events, but you don't dwell on it.

I have trained myself not to focus on the past because the future has good things in-store. We can't change what has already happened.

Yes, I want to change what is wrong, but I don't feel strong enough to do it. I don't know how can I get the strength I need.

When something bad happens in my life I try to move on and not let it hamper me too much. When you let bad things to pull your thoughts then you allow bad emotions which bring you down. I tend to take every day as it is and not as it was yesterday. To desire to see nice times I have to push through worse times.
