I have had trouble as of late with the dishwasher getting things clean enough. I have been using like a store brand dishwasher soap, but I bought some of the Cascade Complete today..and was really impressed with the results. Everything is gleaming. It isn't cheap, but I think the results are worth it. Have you switched brands on anything recently?

Soap for the dishwasher has shot way, way up in price. Cascade is of course the priciest. I always used it, but I started experimenting last year. Neighbor gave me a few of her pods, Kirkland brand sold at Costco. It says on the package ''like Cascade Platinum'' and they are correct. It works just as good as the more expensive Cascade. I also tried Target pods that make the same claim, and they were right as well. Both Kirkland and Target were a lot cheaper than my old favorite Cascade. Just don't ever ask me to give up my Dawn Platinum Dish soap. I can't. A couple of drops is all it takes and a bottle lasts a long, long time. Cuts right through grubby pans. The cheap stuff just can't compare to Dawn, I am a huge fan. Oh, and Dawn also takes stubborn stains out of clothing, too.

I know in the past, not with this machine but another I liked the Walmart Great Value brand and was impressed with how it worked. Kirkland brand is usually pretty good, but n,pt sure I would be buying 6 months of DW soap at once.

@snowy22315 I always check the unit pricing when considering buying a big size of something I use often. If it's cheaper to buy the bigger size in something like soap, I try to go ahead and get that.

@MarieCoyle I don't tend to spend tons of money at Costco. I know some people spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars in there without blinking. I never do that. I usually buy specific things like rotisserie chicken, bananas..clothing etc. and maybe one or two impulse buys or great bargains too great to pass up.

@snowy22315 My daddy’s thermos was at least 40 years old. My son told me that he’d like to have it, i found it at their home, but the inside looked unusable. I put one of the Cascade pods in it that my sis gave me. Filled it with hot water and let it soak overnight. The next morning the inner walls looked brand new.????

@Tampa_girl7 Awesome! You can also use those pods in the toilet overnight too for great results!

There two products that I often use to clean things up. One of them is cheaper, which I use when my money is low. The result is more or less the same.

Some generic products work fairly well and others just don't.

I switched brand for my laundry last week and I am very happy with the liquid "sensitive" soap that I have bought. I used Tide and switched to Persil.

I don't think I have tried Persil but I have seen it for years.

I use Cascade and love the results. No, I haven't changed brands. There are a few store brands I use, but when it comes to clean, I get the brand.

Haven't switched anything recently. Usually don't use the dishwasher and our housekeeper washes dishes by hand. I'm glad you found something that works well for you. Have a good weekend.

I switched my dish-washing liquid but will switch back next time I need the stuff. The dish-washing tablets work well.
