My Son was in Town for a Visit

I got a surprise phone call this morning. Chad, my 51 year old son came to Tawas, for his friend Jerry's mother's memorial service. They have been friends almost all their life.
When Chad was in high school, Arlene use to cut his hair:)
He wanted to know if I'd like to go out for breakfast this morning. Jay had already gone to church, so I said yes, I'd love to go out with him.
We went to Burger King for a breakfast sandwich meal and coffee, it was good! And we had a very nice visit, for about an hour.
They lost their female dog just before Christmas. Ahna was only 5 pounds and such a wonderful pet! Murphy the pit bull bit her neck and she bled to death:(
Anyway, it was wonderful to see my son, it had been about a year since I'd seen him:)

So nice that you got to spend time with your son today. It is always so special when we get to spend time with our grown children. Sorry about Ahna that is so sad and tragic.

The vet who has examined Murphy for a year, came to a decision. She said Murphy is playful, but he doesn't realize the strength in his jaws, that he was born with. It's more powerful than a vice grip. He picks up toys and vigorously shakes them. He did the same exact thing, to Ahna.

@Happy2BeMe Murphy is playing all the time. But, he has such a powerful grip, the other dogs are in danger around him.

@kobesbuddy that is heartbreaking. Pòor Ahna. I cant even imagine how devastated tjeynust have been. Hope Murphy doesn't hurt anybody else.

@kobesbuddy It must have felt right for him to talk about Ahna's passing to you, who better to trust then their own mother, and a dog lover at that is even more understanding.
I hope that Murphy doesn't hurt any of the other dogs or anyone.

@Juliaacv Murphy is very sweet with people, but with other dogs he can't be trusted.

@kobesbuddy - Some dogs cannot get along well with other animals. I know that my uncle had to get rid of a German Shepard who attacked humans.

Their first pit bull was very meek and loyal. Mackie protected his family and the other dogs, at all times. This pit bull, Murphy, is a totally different temperament. He's wonderful with people, he doesn't like other dogs. Kobe was the same way, he hated other animals.

Ahna was so inoffensive, she was a meek and very quiet dog. Murphy being young and strong, nobody saw this coming:(

Chad works 7 days a week, he doesn't take much time off. Tomorrow will be one of those days.
