Litecoin has hit $100 again!

I collect cryptocurrency pennies here and there with faucets. I was waiting for LTC to hit $100 again so I would use my funds to buy a giftcard. And here we go. Good job LTC, I knew I could trust you! Bitcoin is still the most popular crypto but the high fees make it worthwhile only if you're dealing with large sums, which has never been my case. Litecoin is the second most popular crypto that works exactly like BTC, while Ethereum is way more complex. I'm not an expert so I refrain from boring you with the nitty gritty. I believe buying giftcards at the trusted sites is the easiest way to convert these bits into something tangible. So I wonder if there are other crypto low-key enthiusiasts on here so we can discuss. Like... what's your favorite crypto? What are you bullish about? Do you even lift... I mean, stake? And don't contact me for info, I won't reply. It's against the guidelines to 'encourage people to message you for info'. So I'm doing my best to discourage you. Hopefully the myLot gods will be pleased.

That is an excellent idea, instead of trying to trade those coins, it's a lot better to convert them in gift card.

@LadyDuck They think a bank account statement sent by mail is a more reliable proof, as if banks still send papers. I mean, they probably still do if you ask but they charge for that, so people mostly stick to online banking. They want to make sure you live where the documents say you live in case cops or 'yellow flames' want to show up. They'd also accept utility bills with name and address but no utility is on my behalf.

@sabtraversa - Banks do not send paper anymore, we can print documents from their online site. My husband and I have all joint accounts, I suppose this would confuse them! Now that you mention utility bills they are all in the name of my husband.

@sabtraversa I cannot understand why they do not accept your ID card as a valid document and proof of address.

I collect several cryptocurrencies, trade and do staking too and I was surprised to see my total assets increased 3 times compared to last year and I'm still playing around with it.

@sabtraversa I diligently collect it little by little and it turns out that in 2024 the price is quite high, if I'm not mistaken LiteCoin ever reached more than 100$ one month ago.

@May2k8 Yup, LTC has been going up and down lately, I don't expect this trend to go on for much longer... or do I? As I 'sold' some LTC I act as I'm waiting for it to go down.

@May2k8 That's great news, well done! Yes, it's been a good year for crypto so far. To be honest, I haven't started to stake yet, I look forward doing so once I have enough proof-of-stake coin.

I did not understand much about trading in crypto, though my friends tried to convince me to start saying it is a good source of income. I am not too sure though.

@mayka123 I collect from faucet sites, a matter of pennies but they add up. Yet I'm not sure whether they're allowed or not in India, I know the government there is not a huge fan of crypto.

@mayka123 Trading is always risky, even when it involves crypto. The safest way is to study and observe the market and invest long-term on reliable coins. I don't do trading though, I collect coins for free and wait for the right time to convert them into... giftcards.

“I collect cryptocurrency pennies here and there with faucets.“ I have no idea what you’re talking about but it’s disappointing you aren’t encouraging people to message you. I think I might have in the past but I can’t remember. It certainly wasn’t about cryptocurrency. I know nothing about it, but it looks like you have had some success if you’ve managed to convert to a gift card. That in itself is risky as many companies have gone bust making gift cards worthless. I hope you’ve managed to convert the gift card into something even more tangible, like clothing or chocolate?

@sabtraversa You’re definitely more observant than me, I’ve never read the guidelines. I can’t believe I’ve never messaged you! Not even when you 1st arrived here? I used to be bullish and full of bravado back then. These days I am less so. Also, you say that those who have messaged you have either vanished or been banned. Sounds like a more risky pursuit than dealing in crypto. An Amazon gift card is an excellent choice. So much choice and a safe company.

@Orson_Kart Not my fault, I quoted the myLot guideline. On another platform someone complained myLot is strict so I'm highly observant. I looked at the messages, a total of 86 from tons of members that either left or were banned (some very rightfully as I reread what they wrote) but nothing from you. I chose an Amazon giftcard, I never had issues redeeming and using those, and the expiration date is usually far away. So I haven't bought anything yet. Clothing sounds reasonable, chocolate... I have more than enough because of Easter.

@RebeccasFarm Thanks. What I do with crypto is not a big deal but it's always joy to redeem the gift cards.

Should I invest in Litecoin or Bitcoin? From your experience, which one is best?

@mildredtabitha They're closely related but I stick to LTC because of the lower transaction fees, along with faster transactions. They work pretty much the same but Bitcoin's market is saturated while LTC being "smaller" has a better potential in my opinion. You can invest in both, after all when BTC goes up all the other coins tend to follow.

@sabtraversa Alright. Thank you for the input. I'll think about it before I start investing. From your description, I think I would try Litecoin first.

Congrats! I am far from an expert, but I have observed that crypto is going up. I read it should all of 2024 with a split happening in April I think.

@sabtraversa I plan on letting mine go up enough to buy a certain Treasury bond with a high interest rate.

@snowy22315 Thanks! I noticed Bitcoin going up so I was waiting for Litecoin to follow, I didn't expect it to go up so soon but thankfully I downloaded this app that alerts me when stuff happens. Other coins have gone up too but I don't own enough to purchase giftcards at the moment.

The price of Litecoin (LTC) has remained confined beneath a descending trend line, consistently forming lower highs. This pattern suggests a forthcoming correction, especially when considering the current bearish outlook of the Bitcoin (BTC) market.

@zainkhan121 Thanks for the analysis! I know nothing about trends, I try to read people's minds more than graphs. A preference for proof-of-stake coins might develop due to environmental concerns but I mostly see LTC being accepted by vendors along with BTC, the latter coming with very high fees making it unconvenient for small transactions. So I'm still bullish towards LTC while paying attention to proof-of-stake coins.

I do the same. Do those faucets pay? And if you don't mind how much do those faucets pay? I used such a faucet and I earned 17 cents in more than a week.
