I was just cleaning out the bathroom pantry closet and came across a pill case .you know the planners that have the days of week marked. I don't take much in the way of medicine so don't really need one. However, I should probably be taking vitamins and supplements I don't take everyday..if I had them in a planner, they might be easier to remember to take. Do you use these planners?

I have one for seven days a week that has room for me to put pills in to take 4 times a day. I need one as I take 17 prescription pills a day and one Vitamin B12 that my primary care doctor insists I need. I don't like taking 18 pills a day but it keeps me stable. The good part is the pharmacy I go to gives me a new coupon every week that lasts a week and I got the case using a 40% off coupon which was nice as before that the case was $10

Oh yes, if you take a lot of medicine you definitely need one. My former roommate took a lot of medication as well and used one religiously.

@snowy22315 I used to get my medicines mixed up and my case manager got one that big for an elderly relative and suggested it to me.
I still take them out and count them before I take them as I make a lot of mistakes so don't want to miss out on medicine or take too much by accident

@snowy22315 I do take multivitamins once a day but the jar is in the kitchen where I can see it each day as I enter the kitchen so it is not hard to remember to take my vitamins. I also made sure one way or the other by having them on a little shelf below which is the jar of dry food for the cats. Not going to forget taking those vitamins

I could experiment with it, but I know me..I will decide it is more trouble than it is worth. However, next time I go out of town zI am going to take one.

@snowy22315 Good idea. They also remind me when I forget to take my medication. The slot will still have the medication in it.

I've never used a pill planner before. I normally forget to take my medicine nowadays.

I don't take many medications so I don't have any need for a planner. My husband takes many medications. He has a pill box planner. He does not use the box! He keeps a backpack full of medication that he is forever fumbling in to find what he needs!

I have four. One is useless for reasons I won’t bore you with, one was for someone else who ended up not needing it, one is for my vitamins and supplements, and one is for my AM and PM prescriptions. I should really throw the useless one away.

Or give it to someone if it is functional at all.

I mainly use that if we are going on a trip.

Yeah, you know I haven't thought of using it on a trip, but it would be easier than carrying pill bottles for sure.

I have a 14 day case for pills, mostly supplements and a couple of prescriptions. It's so much easier to take them that way. Every two weeks I take ten minutes to refill it. I don't forget anything that way, too.

I don't typically have a problem remembering to take them. Although sometimes if I am getting ready for bed or for the day, I forget whether I have taken it or not. As that is when I usually take it, and if I have just taken it a few minutes prior I don't need to take it again. A pill box would stop that..but I have the feelign if I started using one I would decide it was too much trouble to use it and it would fall by the wayside.

Kind of surprised, because I have seen them for free at pharmacies and medical centers and the like. Mine were freebies.
