Have you ever used this? I bought this once for my father and later for myself. Usually, these plasters are set on back, legs, areas where is no bending but i used it on my hip and my aching stopped. It was unusual feeling, the heat but that is the main essence here and heating process helps for pain to go away. I buy my heat plasters in Tedi shop (not advertising), a shop for home, small decorations, everything really and one plaster is 1euro here. Just, sometimes i can find them and sometimes not. I wear heat plaster for 8hours, according to instructions and feel bad when i have to take it off What to do

Is that the same as "Salonpas"? I grew up using these - it was just a Japanese product back then, but I see them in the stores here now . . . and there are other brands. I believe it is for short time use, not for long term (I think there is something medicinal in it).

@grenery8 I remember it had a certain scent to it - but again, I think it is the medicine in it. Well good that it is helping you!

As ice can have therapeutic relief for sudden injury heat can also be effective to loosen achy stiff muscles. I've used both depending on the situation.

@grenery8 Remember to use ice for short periods of time 10 minutes. Otherwise, it will cause numbness and could damage your skin. It is most effective for the first 48 hours after an injury. Then it's up to rest and time for it to heal. But heat can also help soothe the aches after initially using ice. Hope your aches subside.

I'm glad the aching on your hip stopped. If the heat plaster is helping you to feel better, then you should continue using it .

@grenery8 not yet. Maybe creams only to relieve things like headache. A popular cream in my country used to relieve pain is called "mentho plus"

Yes, that is a shame. Perhaps there are other alternatives that you can try which are not single use items.

Never used these, but I use a portable heating pad for my period cramps. For other pain, I use a topical rub on.

Oh yes, I use those! I would usually put that night time and remove it the next day after taking a bath. I usually would use it for neck and back pains. Although the relief is temporary it still helps for some minor aches and pains here and there.
