Everyone Is Talking About The Eclipse

Happy Monday Everyone! Are you ready for the eclipse today? It should be interesting to see how much of the eclipse we get here. Right now we have sun and some clouds so it's hard to tell if the clouds will interfere when the eclipse happens this afternoon. I've been reorganizing my desk and I'm hoping my efforts pay off. I got rid of a lot of old papers and bought an organizer for the drawer. It has a lot of sections for my paper clips. post-it notes, rubber bands and pens. Maybe if there's a place for these things they won't be scattered all over. As my organizing continues, today I'm going through my pot holders and dish towels. I got some new ones and now it's time to get rid of those old worn out ones that I keep saying I'm going to toss. The next thing is those plastic storage containers. I honestly think they reproduce overnight and we have more than we need. That's my excitement for today Of course I can't do anything before I have my coffee. Time to indulge in my morning cup of joe and chat here for awhile.

Have fun organizing your desk. I like everything related to the sky, so I'll have my eyes on it, literally. I asked my friend if she would take me to get the glasses. Other than that, it will be the usual here.

Hope you get a good view of the eclipse. I don't think I'm in a good enough path to see it very well.

@Marilynda1225 I made a DYI out of a cereal box and followed the directions exactly. I don't think it works. I can tell it's getting darker out there.

@just4him It was almost totally dark out there about a half hour ago at 3 p.m. and now at 3:30 p.m. I see some more light showing in the dining room from my bedroom doorway. My cat was very smart and got off his dining room window sill bed and came into my room and is sleeping on the blanket under my desk nice and safe from the eclipse

The eclipse is supposd to manifest about 3pm here but as it is in your area, it is overcast, so not sure how visible it'll be for all those people who've booked hotel rooms years in advance to watch it. It should get fairly dark for a while, just like when a heavy thunderstorm happens, but hardly night-like. I should clean out my bill drawer, throw out anything more than 7 years old, make room for new ones.

@Marilynda1225 Well, I was in the direct path so it would have been difficult not to watch day become night.

It really didn't get very dark here. If there wasn't so much talk about it I probably wouldn't have even noticed

I doubt you will see much. You are on the wrong side of the state for that. Maybe when you are done organizing you can organize here! . I have been organzing the bathroom closet. It makes a difference. So many creams, lotions and vitamins, supplements I am trying to use up what I have before I buy anymore.

I always seem to be thinking about organizing, talking about organizing or actually doing some organizing. My desk is a catch-all for everything. I have too many bottles of shampoo under my bathroom sink. I'm always buying both shampoo and conditioner and then run out of conditioner before the shampoo and then buy more of both. One of these days I'll drag them out and keep some and donate the rest.

The eclipse is not such a hot topic here. I haven't organized my desk for a while. Maybe it's time to do it.

I bet there will be some discussion on YT when I check it later. Probably on the local news too but, I don't watch it. I enjoy organizing. Feels good when I am done. Hope you feel that way.

It was only partial here but I did sit under the sort of dimmed sky to try to see it with the colander on the porch . I was supposed to do more cleaning today but didn't exactly get to it all. I've got to get to the cleaning first before I can get to any organizing .

I had a cutlery organiser that I had no use for and I put that in the top drawer of my desk and used it for bits and pieces. It works quite well and I didn't have to buy anything new. My plastic containers reproduce while I'm not looking too.

I watched the extended coverage of the eclipse on the Weather Channel. I didn't have any special glasses. Have fun organizing! Have a good day.

Even I am in the deep cleaning and reorganizing mode in the last few days. That is something I do for every break and vacation. I am active in the morning, finish quite a bit. But then with heat, I get exhausted by that afternoon and things spill for the next day. I hope to finish two small drawers later after my nap. Hope the clouds were not a spoilsport. And you could witness the spectacular eclipse.
