This past week has been good. Health centered. Focused on good, healthy, hearty food. I prefer to think of this past week as chasing health rather than saying I am on a diet path. It's been a good week. Hubby does NOT need to lose weight. That part worries me cause we eat the same food. He was a substance abuse counselor in past times. I have attended Overeaters Anonymous meetings and am the better for it. Eating is all about emotions. Mental and spiritual; mindfullness. My Dad died from nicotine. I don't want to die from ingesting too much sugar and too much fat. My weight is down. I exercised in the pool twice in this past week. I continue to drink sparkling water and boil lentils and other beans; drag out vegies from the freezer. Sprinkle more garlic powder and chili powder into soups. And I still eat chocolate. Just in a measured amount. Then I'm done and on to attempting to be a bit active- there is always another dish to wash or a fur ball to sweep.

Sounds pretty healthful to me. Could hubby add an extra bit of fat--butter or oil--to his food to keep up the calories? We eat mostly the same foods as well. I just eat more, but I also move more.

@GardenGerty I wish hubby would add a little fat to his food. He is super opposed to fatty food, though.

I am trying to get my weight down just a little but it's not easy. Sounds like you have really got this. Good for you. Vince and I have the same foods but I try to have smaller portions,
