Do you like sauerkraut?

Sauerkraut is one of those foods I think you either like or hate. I enjoy it, and just had some on a hot dog. Sauerkraut, being a fermented cabbage has a lot of health benefits and considered to be a probiotic. Its only real down side is that it has a great deal of salt, so it is better to eat limited quantities of it.

I enjoy a small amount on a Reuben sandwich, but rarely ever have one. I love corned beef, but I try to watch my salt, so when I do have it, it's a treat. I don't care for it plain like some people do, not sure why.

Aha! I misspoke in my comment, above (or below). I have an occasional Reuben as well.

@TheHorse I like them, but the sodium is off the charts.

@sallypup It was probably miserable. He probably sought medical help too late.

I love sauerkraut! I love it in a reuben sandwich (haven't had that in years though!). Good for gut health and not so good for high blood pressure . . . but so darn tasty .

We are two of those who hate it. When we tried it back in 1971 on our honeymoon, we found it very 'sour' and haven't tried it since.

@JudyEv I think you just have to realize it is going to be sour. Maybe try a Reuben with it in. You can't taste it so much in that. Some of the sausage dishes with it in kind of render the taste neutral too.I think even saw it as a cake ingredient once.

@snowy22315 I'm sure that's true. I sometimes wonder if we shouldn't try it again.

I tolerate it, with franks usually. I never thought of the health benefits, but I won't eat more.

I like sauerkraut but I never buy it or fix. I only have it at someone else's house.

Some people like it, which is why they make it. I'm glad you're one of those people. I'm not. I'll let you have all the sauerkraut you want.

I hate Sauerkraut, but I generally hate cabbage of most forms (except Brussels sprouts, they grew on me. ) My mother used to love Sauerkraut until her stomach couldn't handle it anymore due to a health problem.
