Road Trip Weekend

I had decided last week that since my oldest daughter would not be going out of town and staying home, that I would drive over and spend a night and we could enjoy catching up on things. I had planned on going Friday and Saturday, but that was changed since the boutique called a vendor meeting for Sunday afternoon. I changed my days to Saturday and Sunday and made the meeting on my way home. It cut our weekend time a couple of hours, but worth it for me not to have to drive back to Baton Rouge the following day just for a meeting. We had a good time. We went to an antique store yesterday which my daughter chose. They carried European antiques and had some beautiful carved servers and buffets. They were also at big prices. It was fun even though we couldn't afford much in there! We chose to dine at our favorite Mexican place there and enjoyed a nice meal, a margarita and then headed back to her apartment. She wanted my help in tagging things she was sending to the flea market. I think she unloaded half of her closet and also cleared out a bunch of her daughter's clothes. She also pulled shoes, purses, wallets, and some home decor. The grandson pulled an old booksack, games, books and DVDS. I'll be busy putting all that out later this week! We tagged until midnight last night and again today for a couple of hours. I still have a stack of clothes that we did not get to and will do them later. I don't think our racks will hold all of these at one time. I caught my meeting on the way home and we enjoyed some nice appetizers and desserts. Home now safe and sound and Tired!!
