Corey Bryant who is the volunteer fire chief of the Greenacres Fire and Rescue in Coos County in Oregon is being praised by Aubrie Krause who is the deputy fire marshal for the state of Oregon who found a mixed breed three month old male puppy who was found beneath a trailer that burned down on Thursday February 29. After the puppy who is now named Smoky was taken to the South Coast Humane Society in Brookings Oregon where Smoky spent time in the shelter for several weeks healings from his injuries until Smoky was able to find a new home with Corey since the original owner of the male puppy could not afford to own the dog or Aubrie who has dogs in her own home. When Corey went to the humane society to meet Smoky, he realized that Smoky would make for a great addition to his family as well as being employed at the fire station on March 24 when Smoky was given a clean bill of health to be living in his new home. These kinds of stories are wonderful to share on this site since an animal that came close to death now has a new home with a loving family at last. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

That's a good name for a dog that lives at a firehouse. Poor little guy.

Smoky was a very appropriate name for the puppy.

Corey went above the call of duty to adopt that small dog; his heart must have gone out to it, and it was good it recovered fully.

I am in agreement with you that Corey has a heart of compassion for the dog that he adopted.
