Two down, two to go

When we visited my sister, I brought back four jigsaws. I’ve done the 1,000 piece one and put a photo of it on my discussion. Now I’ve done a second one which you can see in the photo. The box is on top of the jigsaw as the photo of the jigsaw itself was too glary. The pieces for this one are quite large so that makes it a lot easier. I think the next two have ordinary-size pieces but are only 300 and 500 pieces in total. I rang my sister the other day and she said a friend lent her a jigsaw, supposed to be the hardest jigsaw ever. It has 20 cats’ heads on one side but the reverse also has the same picture but placed at 90 degrees. I can’t even imagine starting on it. And the pieces are the size of your thumbnail. Ugh! Not for me.

That last one sounds a doozy and little fiddly pieces!

I can't imagine anything worse! My sister is still thinking about whether she'll do it or not.

@Ronrybs And she doesn't drink! Not even tea or coffee. Just water and occasionally Milo. lol Maybe chocolate would help the cogitation.

I have done a couple of those double sided ones. They can drive you nuts

@JudyEv I have an angel one the boys bought for me years ago. I used the cheat sheet to put it together.

I don't think I even want to try one. I still haven't done the 3D one of the hedgehog.

This is also a beautiful puzzle, surely more difficult that the one you showed ysterday.

@JudyEv If the pieces are not many it should not be too bad.

It looks difficult but I think it is only 16 pieces across so with such big pieces it wasn't too bad.

That one would be difficult. A friend here is working on a peacock puzzle where all the pieces are identical in shape. That one is hard.

I don't think I'd want to do that. It sounds really difficult.

@JudyEv It is difficult. I'm sure she'll show me the finished puzzle.

I think it would be very difficult to solve. I don't think I even want to try it.

I bought a beautiful one for the quarantine. As I was alone I had it in my dining room table and put together some pieces every day. I´d like to put it together again but I don´t dare with Anita. I´m sure that the´d throw away a beautiful unicorn or a princess.

My sister has one with a unicorn and princess. She told me she has just ordered two more. I'll probably never need to buy another one. They would have been a good pastime during covid.

I've never done a jigsaw except online and those are not so easy...to me...but that last one you talked about doesn't sound like something I'd want to do either.

I enjoy doing the jigsaw one. They are a bit easier as the pieces are all up the right way whereas a 'real' one the pieces could be upside down or whatever.

I usually do a jigsaw puzzle on my tablet before I go to sleep. I do find it relaxing…and no pieces to lose! My dad loved doing jigsaw puzzles. He even had a room in the house devoted to it (we all called it the puzzle room). What is it about them and getting older?

I do them online occasionally too. Maybe older people have more time?

I love this one, I am sure that the fencing is going to be difficult.

Because the pieces are so big I didn't find it too hard.

@judyev One of our sons gives us very difficult jigsaws - eg pictures of elephants in the shape of an elephant. So hard.

My sister has several in shapes - a galloping horse, a wolf, a peacock and a giraffe from memory. She complains about the difficulty too.
