Good morning 5/22 super day: back to sleep, nothing to do today

May 22, 2024 7:12am CST
Good morning mylot! I always have something to do that I can't get out of. I have things to do starting this past Sunday through Friday. I get tired from my new medicine and have to try to stay awake all day. It has been hard because I always nod off at least once a day for a short time Today I have nothing to do, so I went back to bed this morning! It was delightful getting extra sleep! I am still tired but can't go back to sleep as tomorrow I start having telehealth therapy on Thursday every week at 10 a.m. and I need to be able to fall asleep and wake up in time and might not be able to sleep tonight. Have you ever had the luxury of going back to sleep in the morning?

I have this luxury. My mom takes medication for depression and she is sleeping a lot. She isn't very happy about that. She would like to have more energy.

Um, that sounds sort of like strange medication for depression? Everyone I know who takes meds for depression, it perks them up, not puts them to sleep?

dya80dya shouldn't your mother should be on medication that makes a person's mood improve? I hope she gets the right type of medicine

@MarieCoyle I thought the same thing about the medication for depression. I can't take antidepressants as they could perk my mood up too much and I could go into another manic phase when I did take antidepressants 20+ years ago it was like I was a different person. I wasn't sleeping too much

@LovesEverybody Storms always make me sleepy. I get my best sleep during a storm. I'm glad you can sleep through them too. Thank you. It's going well. Have fun reading.

There are probably three days a week I could sleep until 10am if I wanted to, but there is no way I can get myself to sleep that long. But if you can, great! It doesn’t feel good to be tired.

I didn't sleep really late. I slept until 5:55 A.M. I used not to like to go to sleep but I have a new medicine for anxiety and it makes me so tired. If I were able to go back to bed every morning maybe I would stop nodding off as I do on most days that I don't go back to sleep. Yes, it feels horrible being tired!

I have the luxury of going back to sleep if I want since I don't have to go to work. But, I rarely take advantage of staying bed and get up about the same time every morning. I have to admit I do take a nap nearly every afternoon though. Hope your telehealth therapy goes well tomorrow.

I could never get up at the same time every morning. I never wake up to alarms regardless of how loud it is. I don't get up at the same time, but I do on most days get up and do not usually go back to bed. today was a delightful treat! Thank you, I think my telehealth therapy will go great tomorrow as I adore my therapist! She is the kindest person ever!

I do almost every day now that I don't work. I don't go back to sleep even though the option is there. I just start my day. Medications can make you drowsy. Usually when medications change they do it in stages. Good luck :) I hope therapy goes well.

I have been so tired lately, that it was I just had to go back to sleep. I used to not sleep and wouldn't dream of going back to bed I don't work but have things to do for the treatment of my mental health. About two weeks ago I started a new medicine and have been nodding off at random times. I saw my therapist twice but then I had to wait two or three weeks to get another appointment. Now I have a standing appointment with her. I adore her as she is so kind. Also, she has anxiety like me Have a good day =)

My Mum tends to sleep a lot during the day. Maybe it's because of her medication. I never thought of that. I can go back to sleep in the morning if I feel like it.

A lot of medicines can cause drowsiness. a few of my medicines cause drowsiness and I am starting to always feel sleepy. Do you ever go back to sleep in the morning? have a great day!

@LovesEverybody Yes, they do. Sometimes, yes. But then I look at my watch and go OH, NO! And then I jump out of bed too fast and make myself go giddy.

@sharonelton That has happened to me as I always used to want to get out of bed instead of stay in bed especially when I try to get out of bed in the middle of the night

Yep, I do everyday. I get up very early with the cat..and there is no reason for me to be up at 4 or 5..so I go back to bed.

My cat has me up at 1 a.m.! I get up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. sometimes and then stay awake for the day. I have to be up at 10 a.m. for therapy and I am worried whether I will be awake. One of the things I want to talk to my therapist today is about my anxiety with waking up on time.

I know exactly how feel about sleeping in in the morning, especially if you're really snug and warm. I hope you'll able to stay awake when you need to.

It felt so good to sleep in yesterday morning. It is a new medicine that is making me want to sleep. I have telehealth therapy at 10 a.m. today and on Friday my case manager is coming for a home visit also at 10 a.m. so I am not going back to sleep today and tomorrow. Thanks! I hope I can stay awake too

@LovesEverybody I do not go back to sleep because then I feel I cannot sleep at nig ht. Instead I fall asleep watching TV and then missed stuff. I am sorry that your new medicine makes you sleepy. I have stuff to do too but not fond of what I have to do and then things come up that I have to do those too. I wish life would be easier, but, it is not.

I don't take the new medicine anymore. it gave me what my case manager told my doctor when she called him she said tremors in my legs and hands. I was nearly falling. my doctor took me off it. but I am even more tired now if possible. Life is not easy at all for me
