Nassau County emergency crews were dispatched to rescue a worker who was trapped 70 to 80 feet above the ground on Monday afternoon after his cherry picker lift get entangled in wires near a building that was under construction. A Nassau County firefighter used a tower ladder to rescue the worker to get the worker out of the danger zone and take him down safely to the ground. The construction worker is safe and sound while the firefighters are trying to figure out how to get the cherry picker out of the power wires. Link is firehouse.com/rescue/technic...

Glad he was rescued and did not go crashing to the ground, I have heard those pickers can topple over,

I know how that feels since it is scary to have electrical power go through a body indeed

That's scary! I'm glad they could rescue him and get him to the ground safely. I hope they got the cherry picker out of the power lines too.

That is good, it would have been scary with live wires all around. Let's hope they do not nitpick too long about how to free the cherry picker, as they probably just need to get the power switched off, while they do it, not just admire the cherries.
