Upon the Winds of Time

My poetic meme was inspired by a special place where we lived in the suburbs of Riga, Latvia. It was a small stream that looked lovely in all seasons frozen still in winter, coming alive in spring with wildflowers nearby, a shady place in the summer, and in autumn leaves like little ships sailed upon it, I had mentioned this stream before but could not find a photo of it, Now I discovered this poetic meme and you can see this special place. It was back behind houses a place suspended somewhere in time and when you were there you could not imagine that a large major roadway was just some steps away. There were rocks and tree stumps to sit upon and in the spring and summer birds twittered and animals like squirrels scampered about. Today I thought about how time moves on and for me, it means once May is over I will be marching in all the painful yet lovely memories of past summers.
