I admire the work of the Illinois police officers who donated their time on Friday when police officers stood on top of the roof of Dunkin' Donuts around the state to raise around $1 million dollars for Special Olympics.
The charity called "Cop On A Rooftop" started over 15 years ago with the goal that the participants can compete in the Special Olympics free of charge.
The Dunkin' Donuts franchise in Illinois gains a lot of good public relations with law enforcement who will gain some good publicity to improve their image of serving and protecting their community.

@Deepizzaguy I didn't know about the police frequenting donut shops. That's pretty cool.

Probably the first time that the police have used a donut shop to raise money for charity since it is a joke that police officers in America frequent donut shops,

@JudyEv Neither did I. It was mentioned on television shows about the habits of police officers visiting donut shops.

It sounds a bit of an out-there idea, and I hope they do not get copycat nutters trying to do that too, and then jumping off the roof.
If it has been going for 15 years though, it looks like nobody has caused havoc, and copied them in this antic, as otherwise, the idea might have been stopped.
