We picked up tiny she child this afternoon. And almost immediately after getting home with her and she child I started dinner.
Tonight I made meatloaf, scalloped potatoes and biscuits.
Both girls ate seconds, which shouldn't surprise me but it does. She child has almost always ate seconds when I make meatloaf, and tiny she child just wanted to do whatever her sister was doing. lol
I just got done washing the majority of the dishes, the pan that the scalloped potatoes was cooked in and the meatloaf pan where I made the meatloaf needed to soak so I will either finish them up tonight before bed or in the morning.
So that's what was for dinner tonight. Tiny she child did what she does every night and when I told her it was about time for bed she decided she was hungry so she is eating a donut. LOL
I only got pictures before dinner was done cooking, so here's a picture of the meatloaf and taters in the oven.

I had not made a meat loaf in forever, so we had one on Tuesday. It must have been good, my son ate 2 helpings of it and had the leftovers the next day. Weird, I made homemade cheese potatoes and he loved those, too. He really, really loves potatoes. I'm just thankful he likes what I cook and doesn't fuss over anything, it makes it easier. Plus, he says things like ''that was really good, Mom'' which of course makes it worthwhile!

I always like it when the sixteen year old says somethings good, because he's way pickier than the girls.

He wants onions in it, I am glad, because I do as well.
There is nothing like an appreciative eater to make the cook feel like it was worthwhile!

I'm not sure if I've where made meatloaf. I'm sure I've had it, but not for a long time.
Our dinner was lunch
My husband and I went to another town and had a late lunch at Turtle Bay restaurant. He had belly pork and I had a Trinidadian chicken curry. It's my husband's birthday tomorrow so that was his birthday treat. We thought it would be less busy on a weekday and I had booked a couple of days off work. We often go away for a couple of days around his birthday but we've done/will do other things instead of that.
Tonight's dinner will be whatever my parents want as I'll be visiting them. It's usually some sort of takeaway (most likely chip shop as my mum doesn't like much else).
I've had a bit of a lazy week this week, and have only cooked one or two proper meals! Tomorrow, I'll be cooking my husband's favourite (gammon with noodles and green beans) and will go back to my routine of home made goodness

@thislittlepennyearns chip shop in general. It's usually the same chip shop, which us called Village Chippy.

Is it just a chip shop in general? Or is chip shop the name of the place?

It's very simple. I don't do fancy when it comes to meatloaf usually, although I have made one with bacon cheese and portabella mushrooms before.
