Nine goats and a sheep that managed to get away from the farm in Chesapeake Virginia last Wednesday evening when the Viriginia State Police as well as the Chesapeake Animal Control answered the call to rescue the animals who were seen near the High Rise Bridge. The Virginia State Police were able to protect the sheep and goats from being harmed by autos when the animal control officers came to rescue the animals. The animals were safely returned to their owner after the animals managed to sneak around the sound barrier near their farm which resulted in no one being hurt. Link is upi.com/9351715880856 via @upi

It was very fortunate that none of the animals caused a traffic accident.

They seem to be pretty smart animals, keeping close to the barriers on the edge of the road. It was good that nothing spooked them into running out onto the road, before they were all safely recaptured.

So many animals wandering around on the freeway these days. I'm glad they weren't harmed and were returned to their owner.

The gate in the farm may have been left open by accident by their owner.
