Much like yesterday, we did not get home till about fifteen minutes ago. I brought my stuff in and grabbed my laptop and pretty much right after that started fixing something to eat. I always make Chris' first. Unless the kids are eating with us, then they get theirs first, then Chris then myself.
Chris wanted grilled ham and cheese, which is probably good because that lunch meat needed to be eaten or tossed within the next couple days. I mixed it up a little bit and gave him turkey and ham on both sandwiches. I put mayo on his sammiches, and grill it with butter. I know people who grill it with mayo and I've done it a couple times, but I stick by the tried and true.
I bought bagels for myself last week, and wanted to do something a little more breakfast-y. So I fried two eggs, put the bagels in the toaster on the lightest setting, more to warm them up then toast them, then put butter on them and put them face down in the pan for a few minutes to toast them that way. I then put a light smear of Smoked Salmon Cream cheese (don't knock it till you try it), a fried egg on each half of the bagel, and a slice of American Cheese, some salt and pepper and called it good. I need to start eating more protein. Call it gross, but it really hit the spot.
I am going to finish up eating, wash a couple dishes, and then take my pain pill for the night and we are going to watch a movie while I catch up here and with my side hustle games. I also need to work on my blog. ALWAYS busy.
The kids had McDonald's with Gramma. So they were happy with their meal too.
So that's what was for eats here tonight, what did you put on the table?

I think what you fixed for your self sounded really good. We had beef ribs, mashed potatoes and corn.

@jstory07 I bet. Do you make your own sauces, or use one? I need to get ribs the next time we go grocery shopping. It's summer- its time for them.

I've been trying to mix up breakfasts a little for Vince as I'm chief cook at the moment.

Sometimes a sammich is just what the doctor ordered. Nice and simple and filling enough. We were mulching yesterday and didn't get done till around 630 or so, plus I needed to hop in the shower and just didn't feel like cooking, so we ordered Chinese to be delivered.

You fixed everyone the meal of their choices. That's great. I will mostly cook a common meal for the family. Yes, I do have an option if something is not liked by any one of us.
Have a good time there
