City officials in Michigan City Indiana are sharing the good news that a baby bobcat that escaped from a zoo on Wednesday May 29 was captured by zoo officials the next day near an amphitheater on Thursday May 30. The zoo officials share the good news that Grace which is the name of the baby bobcat was captured peacefully since the age of the baby bobcat was nine months of age, Grace was returned to the Washington Park Zoo to be with her sister Hazel. Zoo officials have no idea how Grace got out of her enclosure in the first place. Link is upi.com/77417171866643 via @upi

I'm glad they were able to capture the bobcat. She was probably very frightened.

Grace must have been scared when she was caught by zoo officials.

You have a good point there that the zoo officials need to keep a sharper eye on the bobcats inside of the zoo.

Glad to know Grace is returned to the safest place. In our area, people, foolish as they are, would have killed the hapless creature.

The zoo should know how she did it. It is dangerous.

Zoos tend to be more open-range these days, rather than having all animals tightly caged, and perhaps the bobcat saw an opportunity to escape somehow. Perhaps, an official left a gate ajar for a moment, when he went in to feed them. No doubt they will be more vigilant from now on. Some ignorant villager, might have thought it was just a stray domestic cat, tried to pick it up, and have been badly scratched as a result of this carelessness of zoo officials.
