Police officer rescues a kitten that was on a freeway in Florida

A police officer with the Alachua Police Department in Florida was driving his police car on state highway 441 on Wednesday May 22 when he saw a small kitten who was in the middle of the road. The police officer named Stanfield saw that the kitten needed to be rescued made the decision to stop his auto. Officer Stanfield had assistance from a driver from Mi Apa Cafe Latin driver who used his truck to prevent autos from hitting the officer as well as the cat. After the kitten was rescued, the kitten was adopted by a dispatcher with the Alachua Police Department. How the kitten got lost on the highway is anybody's guess. Oh my goodness, just looking at the photo my heart skipped a beat, so close to the tires of the big truck.I am so glad a good person took care of the kitten.

I am in agreement with you that it took a lot of courage for the police officer to rescue the kitten that was running on a state highway.

It's so nice of those people to stop and rescue the kitten. It wouldn't have lasted long on the highway.

It's always a risk to stop and get out of a car on a busy highway. Lucky the truck driver helped him, and tha cat was saved,
