Well, that wasn't it

Friday afternoon, I got a call. All of my labs were back. There was no evidence of tick borne illness.
Nonetheless, there is no doubt that an infection was causing my headache and some other symptoms. I did not have a fever, but I did have chills. I broke out inside my mouth. I broke out on my face near my mouth.
Oh, yes, about the headaches. When I started the antibiotic, the first day or two I felt better. Headaches did not last as long. I even had a couple of days with no headache. Then the headaches were back with a vengeance. Certain combinations of over the counter meds helped enough that I could sleep, but my head would hurt all day.
Monday morning I took the last antibiotic pill. Had a headache, but by bed time it was gone. While I napped earlier in the day it occurred to me to check side effects. One side effect of that medicine can be headaches. Not real frequently, but it does happen.
No headaches the rest of the week, not even when I first woke up.
Now today, I had a large headache. I took over the counter stuff I have had good luck with. It stuck around, though, until after I took my prescription muscle relaxer. I had been looking at information to try to find out what kind of headache I had today. Matching charts and images it seemed it was a tension headache.
My biggest source of tension lately has been worrying about our car situation and being frustrated at having to juggle our departures to fit Bob's treatments.
So we bought a car today. And he only has one more hyperbaric treatment. I only have four more days of summer school. I can feel the tension lifting.
Hopefully I will not have a headache in the morning.

I hope you don't mind if I ask a few stupid questions. I suffer from horrible headaches and there are many contributing factors. First, naturally, is stress. You already know that. Then wind can make them flair up because wind will carry dust, pollens and other irritants. I I suffer from pollen headaches all year round, especially in the spring. Cleaning supplies will also cause headaches. Without your knowledge they can change their "recipe" for their product and change one ingredient. Also, I have a serious inoperable neck injury that if I sleep on it wrong I wake up with a horrible headache. I, like you, had headaches from the antibiotics that the doctor gave me when I cut open my finger with the tuna fish can. I didn't realize that was what was causing them at the time, and fortunately I only had to take the stuff for a week, but I hope I don't have to do that again anytime soon!!! Do you have any of these type allergies or problems? I finally requested a medication that prevents migraines or serious headaches. It's called Topamax (the generic form is Topiramate) and days that I would normally have horrendous headaches they are barely a thump. When I say horrendous I mean migraines that have me in bed or hugging the porcelain phone to God throwing my guts up!!!! My Mom couldn't believe how horrible my migraines were. Since I started on this medication, I haven't had a bad headache at all.
Anyhow, it's a thought. I just hope that you get past the horrible headaches and can enjoy yourself again.

Mostly they are gone, or at very least are manageable.

@paigea It would likely be clumsy, though.

I know to expect them if I take certain classes of antibiotics now.

Big time head pain can put a person at a standstill...it's hard. I hope you don't get them every day.
That's good, you bought a car, that will relieve stress for sure, not having to worry about being able to get where you need to be.
