I've just been to the little Tesco again.

When I got up this morning my Mum wasn't up yet. I got up at 8:10am and I was in the living room at about 8:35am. It was lovely and quiet and peaceful, and I didn't bother putting the telly on. I had already had my breakfast and was making myself a cup of green tea when my Mum came down at 9:30am! I've been to the little Tesco again this morning. I checked my weather app and it said 13° mostly cloudy and 7% chance of rain. So I decided to wear my lighter mac with the hood, just in case. My Mum didn't have much on her shopping list. She didn't need any bananas or grapes. I set off and it was spitting a bit but it wasn't much at all! I'd say it was just one step up from dew! When I got into the shop I got 2 TV magazines as usual, then I looked at the contents page of the Radio Times to see if there was anything about Doctor Who in there (It's the last episode of the series this Saturday), but there wasn't. So I didn't bother getting a Radio Times. Then I went and got a bounty bar for Syd, and some chocolate croissants for their supper. Then I treated myself to an aero. I went to look for some strawberries, but they didn't have any, so I got raspberries instead. Then I got some Alpen with no added sugar for my Mum and 2 bottles of milk. Then I went to pay. It came to just over £14, just over £13 with club card. I set off for home, and the rain, what little of it there was, had stopped. As I was coming round into my street and crossing the road onto my section of street, there was a lady pushing a pram and she had one of those heavy breathing dogs! You know the ones. I don't know what breed it was, but it was bigger than a pug and smaller than a bulldog, and it was grey. When I got home I gave Mum her change, and she was pretty pleased when I gave her over £15 in change! Then I told her I couldn't get any strawberries, but I got raspberries instead. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away, and now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again! What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

You had a light shopping day. Nothing going on here today. Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment and we may go out to eat later. Have a good day.

@sharonelton The doctor's appointment is with my Primary Care Physician. It's just a routine so I can get my prescriptions renewed. She will probably also check on my UTI. My husband's 2nd cousin (our housekeeper's mother) is taking me to my appointment. I will probably treat her to dinner out.

@LindaOHio I see. I've got a review in July. We always have it near our birthday so it's easy to remember. I'll have a blood test () and they'll check if I'm on the right prescription. We also have to have our blood pressure checked, but I can do that at home because I have a blood pressure monitor, and then I'll tell them the result when I go for my review. I see. I hope you enjoy that. You'll deserve it after going to the Doctor.

Yes, I did, but I enjoyed going out. I hope you enjoy your day, even though there's nothing going on. What is the Doctor's appointment for? I hope it goes well. Who are you going out to eat with? You have a good day too.

I know which dogs you mean. Finally it seems the law will prohibit to breed those dogs, as they do not have a happy life.

@sharonelton I often wonder why they want to breed those dogs, poor things. I agree that they are not even cute.

Yes, no, they don't. Poor things can't breath. I don't know why breeders wanted to.breed them that way. Because they're "cute"? I don't even think they're cute!

I'm just working on here and writing some posts. Raspberries sound good.

I hope you are had some success with that. I like raspberries but the seeds stick in your teeth. I do prefer strawberries.

@sharonelton Those little dogs who can hardly breathe really distress me - and their owners thnk they're cute. I've been to Asda (depressing) and I've been for coffee at a nice cafe (hard to find here) and I'm going to make clafoutis for tonight's dinner. Am also trying to decide what to but my wife for her (our) 40th wedding anniversary. We'll be going away for the week but can't decide where - Europe will be far too hot at the begining of September, and we're going to Greece at the end of September, but I've got just so many airmiles to spend.

Yes, I heard on crufts that they need to have an operation to clear their airways or something before they can be a part of crufts, or they have to be checked to make sure their breathing isn't too bad. Why was Asda depressing? I hope you enjoyed your coffee. What is clafoutis? Congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary. 40th is Ruby. Can you afford to buy her a ruby? Or maybe something ruby coloured? When is your Wedding Anniversary? I hope you enjoy your week away.

@sharonelton Anniversary on 1 Sept and her birthday on 3rd Sept. Expensive month and I’m useless at presents. Asda has its own radio station which plays loudly with bouncy “music” trying to put shoppers in a spending mood and it’s just awful. Clafoutis is fruit cooked in a batter kind of thing. Most yummy.

@xFiacre Yeah, Tesco has it's own radio station too. What about a brooch with a ruby in it? Can you afford that? Or an imitation ruby? I hope you can think of something to buy her. That sounds really nice.

I'm hoping to buy strawberries today. I have some cream I need to use up.

Sounds like a nice shopping trip for you this morning. We have been watching tennis today, staying in out of the heat.
