My Daughter Switched Back to Nursing

For three years, my daughter has been working in a physician's office, as a nurse practitioner. She had to finish the charting each night, at home. They always took on an overload of patients. Yes, she was getting paid well, but this wasn't fair to her family. Whenever they did something together, Mari Lyn was doing paperwork for the previous day at work! Everyone in the office was pleased with her work. But, Christian wasn't happy about his wife bringing her job home! Anyway, she has gone back to nursing, which she actually enjoys. And when my daughter has a day off, that time is devoted to her family For Christian's Birthday(yesterday) they enjoyed dinner, cake and ice cream while sitting on the deck. They invited a neighbor couple to join them and they had a wonderful time! It doesn't need to cost a lot of money, to make a Birthday extra special Photo: Mine

No, you really don't have to spend a lot. Love goes a long ways.

With a lot of money and not very much love, a person's life is miserable.

Some jobs aren't worth the hassles that come with them. It's no doubt a good thing that Mari Lyn will now have more time for her family.

They would plan an outing together. My daughter would have to bring paperwork to finish!

She worked this job for over ten years. The head administrator told her, ''Whenever you decide to go back to nursing, there will always be an opening here for you!" They hugged and tears flowed:)

Actually, this job is where she worked for over ten years. They told her, any time you want to come back, there's a place for you! The newer job paid more, the stress level was phenomenal:(

They are enjoying their time together. I guess she's working three days a week, plus she's on call. Each day is 12 hours, relatively long.

Happy Birthday to Christian. I'm glad Mari Lyn went back to nursing and isn't bringing her work home anymore. That's a beautiful picture.

Being physically drained and stressed out, hurts everyone involved.

I agree about birthdays. Lately I am letting others make a birthday mini party for me.

That is a shame after spending the money to become a NP. I mean I get it b/c I don't bring work back here with me. For that kind of salary, though, I'd try to make it work.

I'm not sure if Mari Lyn will lose her certification, maybe she will. The Master's Degree was important, back when she earned it. She's stressed most of the time and Christian isn't happy. @NJChicaa
