Today I had a meeting with a lady who came to see my house. I also had talked with my eldest daughter who owes me money and she will soon be able to return it as she has sold an apartment she had. I asked the young lady whether I could give the owner of the smaller house I want a down payment while I receive the money from this house. In my country no Bank will lend me money no matter what a wonderful client I have been during my life because of my age. So if I want to buya house I have to pay it in cash. It seems that I can offer a down payment. Everything can be talked. We´ll see. I´m in no hurry. All this is a main decision. We´ll see the outcome of it.

It's the same here, once you are considered "too old" the banks do not land you money. Good luck for your house.

@LadyDuck My legs suffer climbing the stairs. My legs were destroyed during the pandemia as I did not do any exercise.

I hope it will all work out the way that you need it to. It's good not to be in a hurry, when you are making a big major lifestyle change, you want it to be the right change at the right time.

@marguicha When I last moved, it was in 2013. I didn't have to move, no. But I had been wanting to move where I am now, for several years. It was hard to find a place, and it finally happened, thanks to my oldest son being proactive and actually finding it. I was so glad to move! It was just past time.
