Mouth Agape

Have you ever heard someone give advice to another person, criticizing their choices, and your mouth just drops because of their own decisions are so questionable? Or, someone tells you how to run your country, and you think, oh boy, you’re criticizing where I live when your own place is falling apart? I do not want to be like that, and I hope I’m not. But the lack of self-awareness is shocking sometimes. I’m thinking of a family member who discusses how negative their own relative is, and I can’t fathom how she doesn’t understand that relative picked it up from her. No one is about to point that out, of course. And the shame is that yes, they are both negative, but if you give them a chance, they are good people to know. But who wants to hear that over unwarranted criticism?

Some people are just ruled by their own frustration.

Before you tell your neighbor to remove the speck from his eye, you should take the beam from yours. Rough GardenGerty Bible quote. It seems very much human nature.

Yep - I sure know people like that. It's like "look who's talking" . Maybe it's a self esteem thing - that they have to point out the negative in someone first - before someone points it out in them.

I have a cousin who criticizes everything. Especially the way I dress sometimes

I hear it too often. I try to stay away from negative people and those who run down what I love, my country.

I think constantly being negative is such a waster of time, No matter what goes on or how I feel I always look toward the positive side of things,

My mother was like that. She had this "poor, delicate disposition that couldn't bear to be harshly spoken to", but would cut you in a heartbeat. Everyone was intimidated by her except one aunt who saw through her.

Some do seem to like the sound of their own voices. And have very strong opinions.

I think it's better to take your decision as rarely these days, especially family members are your well wishers and misguide.

Usually the ones that criticize are much worse themselves. Have a good day.

Not everyone likes a good critic but when some preach one but do other things,we can't see a credibility for that
