Thanks to the actions of two public works employees from Everett Massachusetts who were driving in a neighborhood on Wednesday morning the two males who are Jason Papa and Jason Whinocour managed to get the attention of the residents to inform them about the house fire. The two gentlemen were able to get about 20 residents out of the burning three story building safely except for the third floor where a 3 year old girl was inside of the smoked filled room. Firefighters from Malden, Chelsea and Everett department arrived to put out the fire. The two gentleman guided one firefighter to rescue the 3 year old girl and rescue her from a possible tragic ending. Everett Deputy Police Chief Joesph Hickey reported the good news that his firefighter and the three year old girl were taken by an ambulance to a local hospital with non threatening life injuries. It is not known why the three year old girl was left by herself in the third floor apartment. The firefighters believe that the fire began in the third floor of the apartment. Most dangerous things to children occur at home. As we all ask Where was the mother? How did the fire start?

That is what I am thinking what was the reason the young girl was by herself in the first place.

That is so scary to me. I live on the second floor and if there was a fire I'd be at their mercy. So glad all are okay. That poor fire fighter as well as the 3-year-old.

That is also what I am wondering where was the mom or an adult to supervise a child myself.

Who the heck leaves a three year old alone? That’s a great way to get an accidental fire going.

That could have had a very serious outcome. I wonder why the little girl was on her own. I hope she didn't start the fire somehow.

That is what I was thinking that maybe the adults who were supposed to watch her got out of the house for a short while.
