Back and resting.

It is the end of a very nice day.
My brother took us to a Japanese restaurant. It was not one of those sushi houses that are now everywhere. This is a very good restaurant with many different dishes that are not the typical rolls the we could even make at home.
We told of each other´s lives and I told them about Daniel and Leticia. They are just back from a visit to my sister i law´s twin in Canada. It wasn´t a happy occation as my SIL´s twin´s husband has Alzheimers. She told me that the situation was terrible as it was not that he was completly "gone" as one imagines the illness. He has his moments whe he is fully aware of where he is and who she is.
When we came back, my brother took us for a trip to neighborhoods and houses where we had lived decades ago. Some houses have been sold and destroyed and instead big buildings stand. I wonder if some of those kids with whom we played are still alive or is they, like their houses , are no more in this planet.
I came back to my chilly house and turned on the heater. Then I took a late nap and here I am, ready for a very late second part of the day.
I ate so much that I can only take some tea with my pills. I don´t even care for a cup of coffee or one of those cupcakes that are in the dining room table.
How was your day? I´ll go now to read my notifications.

I too had a very busy day. We, I and my wife, were out of the house for 6 hours straight. A lot of pending things had to be completed. But we are happy that all the efforts finally paid off. This is a good feeling when there are so many efforts behind a few things. However, a new day has already started for us here - it's 7.45 am. And it's time to move on again. Another day, another fight.
And yes, it was a pleasure to read about you too. Especially, about you and your brother. Good vibes coming to me

@marguicha That's so kind of your brother. And so soothing to know when relations get back on track. Nice going!

My brother even took me to get my meds. And I could share some of them with my SIL because I had some still left here.

I had a wonderful day, went for a walk in a nature preserve. I just saw there was a 7.4 earthquake in Chile today. I pray it wasn’t near you and didn’t affect any friends or family.

@marguicha — I’m thankful it wasn’t near you. No reports of fatalities in our news here from it, which is always a blessing to hear.

I really enjoy Chinese food. My grandson likes sushi and I will eat some of it. Sounds like you had an interesting conversation. We ordering dinner from a Mexican place.

I prefer Chinese foot to Japanese food. But the real thing about eating out is the company.

Sounds like a full and reflective day! I’m glad you had a nice time at the restaurant and got to revisit old memories. My day was pretty quiet. Enjoy your tea and rest!

Alzheimer´s is a terrible illness. Not only for the ones who get it, but for their loved ones.

@marguicha Yes, when my husband had hospital delirium and I thought he had Alzheimer's, it was a terrible time. I'm so glad he came out of it.

It's just so nice that he is back in your life. And that you can spend time together and enjoy each other's company. Whatever happened to him to make him wake up and remember he had a sister next door, is a mystery but hey, it had a good outcome.
I am glad you had a good lunch out and got to some going back in time on your car ride.

Lately I only can have one activity in a day. Two is too much.
