Waited over Four Hours for My Vehicle Repairs

This morning, I had an early appointment to get my four-wheel drive brakes fixed. The weather was cool, around 65 degrees. I wasn't upset about this!
Two Mike's were working on computers. One was setting up appointments, while the other one was talking with customers and collecting payments.
My bill was high, yet not as costly as I'd imagined it would be. Almost $300 is a large chunk of change, but not in the times we are living.
Maintaining a vehicle is expensive, no matter which make it is. I'm just thankful that it won't be stalling on the road, as before!

This repair was four-wheel drive brakes, only on one tire. I had good brakes on three tires. @alalinus

@kobesbuddy I paid the money for the two front tires. Why are brake repairs so expensive anyway?

Nice to have those brakes working. I had to quit driving a few years back( about 2014 or so). It sure is nice not to have the added insurance, gas, and maintenance fees. I do miss having the convenience though.

We need transportation, to and from our property. When the house is built, Jay will insure his own car.

I used to own a vehicle years ago and the repairs for everything from tire repairs to mechanical issues was very expensive.

Owning a vehicle is always going to be expensive thing . No matter how smart or well maintained the vehicle would be -we would have to shell out a good amount year on year for insurance and maintainence. Add to that any fixes or claims. I can understand the expenses as my current car is 7+ years and with high gas prices , it is tough to maintain. I do not see much mileage either. Well, I am looking at the idea of carpooling to save the costs. Maybe that will will help in cutting down some expenses.

My jeep is a 2015, it's less expensive than our other vehicles were. (Chevrolet/GMC)
