Police officers rescue an autistic child who fell into a pond

Volusia County Sheriffs Department (VCSD) Deputy Wes Brough answered an emergency call from the father of a five year old boy who suffers from autism had gotten out of his second story door in Florida on Tuesday evening when the alarm attracted the attention of the parents of the five year old boy.
Officer Brough suspected that the boy has a desire for water looked around in the nearby bodies of water when he heard noise from a pond.
Officer Brough then saw the five year old boy hanging on to a log in a pond. The officer jumped into the pond to rescue the boy and have medical responders who found the boy to be in good health and be reunited with his parents.

Great work by Volusia County Sheriffs. Their timely action saved the boy's life.
I believe that the parents would be much more cautious now.

The boy showed good survival instincts too holding onto a log, as he easily could have drowned otherwise.
