I just watched Tim Walz's DNC speech from last night

It was very good. A lot of it was stuff he has already said in previous speeches but it still was very effective. I was disappointed that Kamala didn't select PA governor Josh Shapiro but it is clear now that she made a very good choice. He is just so relatable and down-to-earth unlike the very weird JD Vance wearing guyliner. There was a moment when Walz called out his wife and 2 children. His son Gus apparently has Aspergers or autism and isn't completely verbal. When his dad mentioned him he jumped up with tears in his eyes and pointed to Walz. He said "that's my dad!" It was incredible. The speech was only 16 minutes long but it was incredible. It is definitely worth a watch.

Saw the clip of his son's reaction. Watched Kamala's acceptance speech last night. She gives me hope for the future. Have a good weekend.

@NJChicaa The only thing I don't care for in her platform is raising wages so that there can be one income families. That could tear the economy apart!

The entire convention reminds me of a religious revival meeting. I've never watched so much enthusiasm.

Certainly a great speech and young Gus brought tears to my eyes too.
