22 August - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a pleasant evening in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 70 F right now with no humidity. 
It's been a good and different day today.
I'm thankful I went to the Kroc Center this morning. I had a wonderful swim. Only 60 minutes in the pool. Most of it lap swimming. Then I went on the fitness track and got most of my steps. I finished them by the time I got home.
I'm thankful for the hospital visit. Though it took longer than usual because they couldn't find my veins, it went quickly when they finally found a good one.
I'm thankful for Canasta today. We played two full games and lost at both, but it was fun.
I'm thankful for the suggestion at Canasta to go out to dinner. Seven of us went. We went to a restaurant I hadn't been to before. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable. I had steak tenderloin.
I'm thankful I have the notifications finished. It took a couple of days. It's good to see what's going on in your part of the world.
I'm thankful for the scale today. Usually on the day I go to the hospital my weight is up. It's my lowest so far, which made me happy.
I'm also thankful for a call from my favorite insurance nurse. He's wonderful. The first time he called me after the initial visit, he surprised me by remembering more than my name and a few facts on a sheet of paper. Today, he asked about my books as he always does and was impressed with all I'm working on.
Okay, that's my day. I didn't have time for the foot cycle today or my books. A look at the time lets me know I won't be doing the foot cycle tonight.

I am happy to read that. You had a good day and enough reasons to be grateful. My Friday has just started. I am grateful for another new day in my life and I am hoping that it goes well and productive.

@just4him It went well, not as planned. I couldn't do all that I planned for. But overall I managed to do few big work. My husband too a sick leave today as he is under weather. I was bit occupied in that too. He was in real bad shape with all cough.

What a wonderful medical professional! I love to hear about such a caring person.
I’m thankful after my doctor not calling in my medicine yesterday like he was supposed to, my doctor did today. I was in such pain last night so I am so thankful he did today.

I'm glad your doctor called in your medicine. I'm sorry you were in such pain until he did so.
The first time he called me, I told him I would see him on one condition, that he came. I got a call from a nurse a couple of years before who didn't show up and didn't call to say she wasn't coming. He showed up. I didn't know about having a male nurse, but he proved his worth. His is the one call from the insurance company I don't mind getting.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed your swim and made progress with your steps. Despite the challenge at the hospital, it’s awesome that it turned out well. Dinner with friends and some fun at Canasta must have been a nice treat too. Congrats on the scale victory!

I am thankful that I got my doctor's appointment out of the way and that Dish and Kinetic are coming today to install the phone/internet/TV. I am getting rid of Spectrum. Have a good weekend.

You sound like you had a wonderful fun and busy day. It's nice to enjoy a meal out and steak tenderloin would be my choice too. It's an added bonus when even the scale cooperated for you.
My daughter got stuck working late yesterday so we just picked up a pizza for dinner. I'm thankful we didn't have to cook
