Sorry about yesterday. Before I head out for lunch with one of our myLotters (wow, thought I might not get to meet one this year!) I’ll give you another song on my ten favorite “rock and roll” title songs. Here’s someone else who had a couple of options to choose from. #9: Rock and Roll Never Forgets - Bob Seger The other option, of course, was “Old Time Rock and Roll.” But this wins…because this particular “sweet 16’s turned…” 64???!! There’s a lot of truth about that line, if you think about it. Sometimes people “stop and think about your dignity” and that they’re “too old” to go cut loose at a concert. Listen, I was the OLDEST person — by ten years at least — at a Dead Milkmen concert in 1987. It didn’t bother me in the least. No, as long as “all of Chuck’s children are out there, playing his licks” it’s a good time to go. If I could find a way to adjust my hearing aids I’d still be going with my walker! PS: if you’ve never listened to all of Seger’s album Night Moves, do yourself a favor. It is a masterpiece. Rock on. Rock and Roll Never Forgets Written by Bob Seger Recorded by Bob Seger From Night Moves, 1976 All you’ve got to do is just make that scene tonight:

I have Night Moves and it's a great intro to some great Seger music. It took Bob awhile to catch on nationally, but he sure made up for lost time with this album and song. One of many great ones.

It was a magic time, because so many people who’d been going along with a “cult” following burst onto the scene with darn-near perfect albums. Seger, Scaggs, and Miller are three who come to mind quickly…then there was Fleetwood Mac, too!

@FourWalls Yes, those are great examples. Funny how timing is everything when talent finally gets its due.

Yeah, you’re one who should stay away from Night Moves, because “Ship of Fools” sounds kinda country.
