A trailer that was taking two ostriches out of the state of South Dakota had the bad luck of losing one of the ostriches that went wandering in the streets of Sioux Falls on Tuesday August 27. Sioux Falls Police Department Public Information Officer Sam Clemens shared the good news on social media that the owner of the trailer was able to capture the loose ostrich and take the trailer out of town safely. The police are happy to report that no one was hurt when traffic was halted due to the ostrich blocking some of the streets in Sioux Falls. Link is upi.com/7151724945946 via @upi

It's getting rather strange with all these big birds getting loose lately. What gives?

I guess some animals get angry being stuck inside of either a farm or being taken places inside of a truck.

@porwest I know what you mean since animals do not like being locked up.

I am sure that the ostrich got interested about where he was and glad he was located,

I am sure that is what likely happened to the ostrich.

I should think it would be tricky to capture an ostrich. They are very big birds.

It is very hard to capture an ostrich indeed.

An ostrich has a kick like a mule, and I wouldn't be getting to close to one.

I remember a Three Stooges video short where Curly had to be in front of an ostrich who was inside of a barnyard to avoid getting hurt by the ostrich kicking him had Curly been behind the ostrich to feed him.
