If I Took Home the Big Loot

The $740 million MegaMillions drawing is tonight, and whenever the jackpots start getting closer to $1 billion, I always find it fun to break down the win a bit and share what I might do if I were lucky enough to win. It's fun to dream, right? So, if I took the cash option, which I would, after taxes the total prize would be worth about $222 million. I'd take $10 million off the top and let out all my excitement, and immediately invest the remaining $212 million. I'd definitely have my Ford F-250 King Ranch. I'd pay off any loans I might have like mortgages or the camper. I'd likely buy a condo in Florida, and maybe two of them. One in the Sanford/Orlando area and one in the panhandle, likely around St. George Island. Of course, the wife would get to pick out a car of choice as well. After all was said and done and the $212 million was invested, I'd bring home $13.3 million a year in dividends and interest. Plenty to enjoy at least another $10 million payday every single year. What would you do if you won such a large jackpot?

How did I guess that would be your answer. I bet you'd have a really nice condo right on the beach to boot. And imagine how much more that money would be worth in Mexico compared to here. You'd triple the windfall.

Whenever I start to allocate mythical mega lottery winnings, I usually fall asleepzz... Can't pay off the mortgage because I already did that on my own. Can't reroof the house because I paid for that on my own last year. I suppose I'd spend some on improving my house, and certainly share with friends and other charitiezzz

Seriously I don't know what I would do with it. Of course I would invest it somehow, but really I don't need it. I would donate some to something special. Maybe fund some kind of conservation expedition that we could all go on as well, that would be cool.

I don't really need it either. But do I want it? Hell yeah. To me there is no such thing as having too much money.

Sometimes I think it would be hard to get rid of so much money but I'd be happy to try!

Yes. Hands down, this is a problem I would want to be in a position to solve.

Buy a house in the Keys and a boat. Revamp the house in which we are living and give a whole bunch to charity. Have a good weekend. I hope you win!

I would buy a bigger apartment, give some money to my siblings, travel, donate some to charities, put some money in fixed deposit and make some investments.
