A lot to do today

Officially schools start tomorrow and I still need to buy school supplies for my kids. I also need to do some house chores and the grocery shopping as yesterday I didn't do nothing due to the funeral. I hate doing my grocery shopping or going to the malls on Sunday, it is always crowded and in my opinion these places should be closed on Sunday as those that work there also need their sunday time with their families. But today I also need to go, I am getting courage to spend the afternoon shopping. The weather is hot and sunny, a summer day here. How is your sunday going? Picture of my cousin's pool where we sometimes spend the sunday afternoon.

The temperature was cold this morning, but nice this afternoon. All stores are closed here in Sunday. I went to Italy to get our weekly magazines this morning. We had a walk in the afternoon.

@nela13 The large supermarkets asked to open on Sundays, but the government refused. Children are not often with their parents, Sunday is a day to stay with the family and relax.

@LadyDuck I agree, supermarkets don't care about the people who work there, they are greedy. I am glad the government didn't accept their request.

During Marcos Sr. era in the Philippines we have a blue sunday.. where everyone is not allowed to work, even the small store are closed, because it is dedicated to the Lord and to family.

Every Sunday should be dedicated to the Lord and to family. Everyone deserves not to work on sunday.

I usually go to the grocery store on Sundays. This Sunday I didn't get to go. Nice pool. My great-aunt used to have a pool. She had to get rid of hers because the pool pump stopped working and it was too much of upkeep for her.

Many people go and that is why I'm not too fond of it, it is crowded and takes me double the time to do my grocery shopping.

I dislike going to the grocery during payday and weekends. I get too uncomfortable when I bump into so many people, always have to say "excuse me" and have to line up at the cashier for a long time. But lately that's the situation. Hopefully the nearby supermarket will finally reopen by October and I can do my grocery again on a weekday. I prefer to do my shopping in the morning after bringing my kids to school. It's more peaceful that way.

@almostoveryou Neither do I, usually the promo doesn't worth the time spend.

On weekdays and in the morning is when I also prefer to do my grocery shopping, I hate when I need to go on weekends, it takes me the double time.

@nela13 I know what you mean. It's just so inconvenient during weekends. I wouldn't even go even if there's a sale or promo.

The pool looks much more inviting than the prospect of going out grocery and back to school shopping. I think that it is great that you allowed your children to enjoy summer until the very last day, that is what they are for. Good luck to them in the morning when they venture off to a new school year.

The pool is definitely more inviting, especially today that it was hot. Summer holidays are for enjoying until classes start. Thank you, hope it will be a good school year for them.

I like going grocery shopping - but not on days when the supermarket will be crowded.

It is awful, it is crowded and there are people who look like they're just taking a walk through the supermarket
