Don't Worry, I Found Them

I distinctly remembered giving Bob the check books for both of our accounts. I was absolutely certain I did not take them back.
He was certain he did not use either of them, he used a debit card for his purchases. He did not recall having them at all. I began going through everything around his chair.
Bob reads lots of books. He also writes stories. Often he gets tools out and leaves them around, and how to books about car repairs.
I looked at his writing notebook from an end position. Guess what he had folded into the pages as a sort of book mark.
Yup, that is right. The checkbooks. They are now back in my purse.

We only have one bill that ONLY takes check or cash and then I do church donations with a check. He wanted to close the accounts.

He would have found them when he decided to write something again, but in the meantime he was saying he was going to cancel the accounts. Not a good thing as it would mess up a lot of accounts.

Turns out he had not been planning to use them, but rather a debit card. I had hoped he would balance them, because he usually does.
