Jacksonville Florida resident Rebecca Bowling was with her boyfriend were taking a camping trip in Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia on her birthday September 3 when Rebecca and her boyfriend were on the shoreline when she found a message in a bottle. The glass bottle that was sealed with a cork contained a note dated on August 4 was written by a young girl named Parker who is eight years of age in Charleston South Carolina when she wrote the note with the approval of her parents Kate Early and her husband Matt Early when they were aboard their family boat near Fort Sumter South Carolina. Rebecca used Facebook in an attempt to contact Parker after showing the note on the social media. Rebecca who is a third grade teacher admits that what Parker did has inspired her to have her students to have her students to write letters in bottle-style letters. Well, I don’t advocate littering, but I also don’t want to be a stick in the mud because those letters in a bottle really are pretty cool.

That is amazing. I think it is a good idea for her to get her students to do something like this, In other words you can make contact with others even if you are not online,

That's an interesting story. Occasionally bottles with letters turn up in some strange places and miles from where they were thrown into the water.

I guess there is not too much harm in doing that, unless every man, and his dog, start doing it too, and so the sea would be afloat with bottles then.
