Bees attack firefighters during a vegetation fire in California / myLot

Firefighters with the Modesto Fire Department in California answered an emergency call on Saturday September 7 when a vegetation fire broke out on Sonora Road. Teamwork from the Oakdale, Knights Ferry and CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Cavalera firefighters were able to put out the majority of the fire within 15 minutes. The firefighters faced the challenge of dealing with bees attacking the firefighters and managing to go to their firetruck when the firefighters chased them away with water. That is a lot of nuisance for tne Firefighters along with the tremendous challenges that they face day in and day out. Hats off to the way they perform their duties!

There could not have been much smoke around as bees usually are made docile by smoke. Perhaps, the heat of the fire, fired them up, unluckily for the firefighters.
