My Frozen Thai Food Review for Today. It was pretty good!

I forget whether I "reviewed" this before, but I got it at Safeway. It cost maybe $6. Pad Thai noodles is one of my favorite dishes, and I sometimes get it and Red Chicken Curry if I go out to dinner with a friend. The stuff from Safeway turned out to be quite good. It was a bit sweeter than what I get at my friend's restaurant, but it was still satisfying. It will not replace any of my boring "twice a week" staples, but I'll probably have it once a month or so. Have you tried anything new recently?

I wrote about the last new thing I tried. I do love peanut sauce though. And miss Safeway.

At a Thai restaurant, pad Thai noodles cost maybe $15. But I can get two or three meals out of it. These were good, but not as good as what I get at my friend Ko's place.

@TheHorse I guess if you find value and they were good who am I to judge? But that price would simply not work for me. lol

I used to do all of my shopping at Safeway. That was back in the day. Back when my daughter was a toddler. My grandfather worked there and he actually trained Joe Albertson when he worked there. He retired from there and I have the gold medal he got for so many years of service. I have wondered about some of the Chinese and Japanese foods I see in the frozen foods. Maybe, at some point, I will try some. I'm not too into Thai food. I ate at a restaurant one time and didn't care for it. I got some Stouffer's spaghetti and meatballs for the kids and they liked it. Stouffer's is a good brand as those things go.

I agree. Stouffer's makes the baked chicken and fettuccini Alfredo that are among my staple "boring but good" foods. Their lasagna is good too.

Today, I cooked a decent meal for the family. I cooked Chinese Red Braised Eggplant with beef in it.

@TheHorse You said it right. Rice will always be there. But I am controlling to consume it. A cup of rice is fine with me lately.

And rice on the side, I assume. Your meal sounds good to me.

We had some lovely steak last night. It was marinated in whatever would make it taste Mexican but was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Vince cooked it, not me.

Is it spicy/hot? Haven't tried anything exciting lately. Have a good day.

It had a hint of spice to it. But it is not as spicy as I like.

I love Thai food! I tend to like pad thai that's less sweet, but yah, I'll take any of it! I think I've had the lemongrass chicken one in that brand. We tried frozen shrimp burgers from TJs as son picked it out . . . it wasn't a hit.
