Still haven't decided who to go with for window treatments

Went back to Blinds to Go this past Sunday. Took hubby with me as he wasn't there the first time. What we decided to potentially get this time around was a bit different than what I had chosen the first time I went there. The total with the sale going on now was estimated at around $3100. Without the sale a bit over $4000. The first time the estimate (with the sale) was in the $2000 range but that's because we were getting more vertical blinds, which are cheaper than other types.
What we wanted to do (more hubby than I) was to get a person to come to our house (their shop at home service) and help us finalize what to get for each window and what color/design to go with. We have until Sunday to do that if we want to take advantage of their sale.
I was going to make an appointment for this Wednesday but hubby wants to go back to the second place (Hudson Douglas brand) we went to last time to see what they can do for us. He seems to prefer their stuff over Blinds to Go. Maybe we can change things from what we initially chose there and that will lower the price a bit. Our first estimates were over $4000 or over $5000.
Going back to the second place though means we will lose out on the Blinds to Go sale. We can make the Blinds to Go at home appointment only for Wednesday as that's hubby's day off but that's when we are going to go to the other place.
On another note, spending even $3000 on window treatments seems like a lot of money to me...

Did you check out Penney's? Good luck choosing something. Have a good day.

Went back the second place again. Said our budget is $3000 and asked what they can do. We ended up not touching the fan window and decided not to do one bedroom and hallway for now. So sliding door and four windows would be a bit over $3K. That seems a lot. Blinds to Go we could’ve done all windows plus fan window and sliding door for a bit over $3K but they didn’t have that many color options. It was mostly white, gray, or beige and I didn’t want that for the living room.
They will come Wednesday to measure and finalize our options. But now I’m thinking maybe I should’ve gone with vertical blinds for living room instead of those in our bedroom.

@LindaOHio I’m now not 100% sure on what type of blind/shade is best for the living room. Hopefully the lady that comes Wednesday will help with that.

@lovebuglena You can always change your mind. Go with the vertical blinds in the LR.

I wonder if it would be cheeper to go to like home Depot or Lowes or something like that. That's what George and I did when our one window blind broke.

When I went to Home Depot I did not see anything on display that caught my eye. But maybe it is worth looking into again.

@lovebuglena Maybe you could check their website. Heh. When I redid the curtains at my cabin in Montana, I made 'em myself. Excluding labor (it took me a couple of days) I think it cost under $100.

@lovebuglena I've even raised my speaker restoration rates gradually over the years.

Better spend a bit more and get something better. But wish prices were not so high.

I can get them at wayfair or Amazon but won’t be the same quality and may not be a perfect fit.
It’s not final yet but we won’t be doing one bedroom or hallway windows, or the fan-looking window. That will keep us in the $3k range. And it will be same company we have now in our bedroom. Hope I’m not making a mistake.
