What is the most you'd spend on a water bottle?

With all the craziness that has surrounded the Stanley brand tumbler's in the last several months it got me thinking about how crazy some of the prices of water bottles, tumblers etc are getting. Stanley has been around FOREVER, and for the "older" crew, they are probably most recognizable as the green thermos that everyone saw growing up. In recent years they have started making all kinds of "drinking" gear which took social media by storm. There was a Valentines day Stanley tumbler cup that was going for $200 each, and women were beating each other in Target for them this year. Most of you know that I am generally a pretty frugal person. I don't like over spending on things. So it shouldn't be of any surprise that I would never even think about spending $200 on a cup, unless it came full of gold or something. I actually think the most I have spent on a water bottle is $30 ish dollars, and that was YEARS Ago when I was spending my teenage years in the PNW. I bought a Kleen Kanteen and carried it throughout highschool and college. But I can't remember ever spending more than that on a bottle or tumbler or anything. I have attached the link of the one I found on Amazon that is most similar to the one that I had. What about you?

I am thinking about buying a Thermos bottle to keep the water hot. But I would not buy just any brand and I would not pay for it over $30. As for a bottle just for water, I recicle pop bottles.

We have a Cirkul that cost us $20. I forgot about that, the filtration system thing has flavor and there are a bunch of different flavors.

@thislittlepennyearns I try not to spend money in that. My favorite cake costs around " $20 and last me about a week unless Humberto and Dixie come. Humberto eats at least 2 pieces and when he´s eating, I eat more too.

Half the time I just reuse the plastic bottles I already have. I don't see any point to needlessly spending money on something that something that is practically free can do. It's why I don't buy plastic containers either. I have butter tubs and sour cream tubs and cottage cheese tubs. I can just use and reuse those and they don't cost me anything.

I will get the kids one at the start of school. But they are supposed to keep their eye on it and make it last all year, like their lunchboxes. But I don't think I've spent more than ten dollars on them.

@thislittlepennyearns I get that kids it is probably a bit different. At the same time they sell cups like that at Dollar Tree for a buck and a quarter. Granted, they may not "perform" as well. But how well do you need a cup to perform? lol

I guess I might spend up to fifteen dollars, but hopefully around ten. I can’t force myself to give a crap about a water bottle. I can’t believe people would pay two hundred dollars for one.

Most of mine come from Amazon, Temu or Five Below. Or dollar tree.

I'd have to say about five dollars. Maybe a little more.

I find that hard to believe, since you are an apple user.

I would never spend anything like that on a water bottle. I use one I bought in the store and keep filling it.

I haven't used my Stanley flask in ages. These days, I carry a metal bottle marked as a Penguin book cover. Had it over a decade

I try to keep the cost under 10 Aussie dollars or 500 Indian rupees. Some of the brands are so expensive. If never spend 100 dollars

I can truthfully say that I have never purchased a water bottle. I have two tall Contigo cups, they keep hot things hot and cold things cold...I use one for ice water and one for my coffee addiction. They were gifts. Last year I received a very large black Stanley cup that I don't use much, as it is absolutely huge. I sure don't need any more.
