Cheese Puto (Filipino Steamed Cake)

My daughter made this a while ago. We usually eat this for snacks. It can be plain, or with cheese and salted eggs as well. Some have other flavors but this is our favorite, the original one. It is light and airy and not so sweet.

you need 180ml of milk, 1 cup of water, 2 eggs, 1 1/4 cup sugar, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp melted butter. You need cheese as toppings or it can be without

@rakski I created a new steamed item. I mixed all the multi grain flour, added chopped onion, chopped green chili, salt, chopped coriander leaves sugar, and coconut. Added enough water. Made dumplings and steamed them over a banana leaf Yummy and healthy

yes, it is cheese. it is made from glutinous rice but it can be made from all-purpose flour as well

That looks interesting and yummy. And something I can eat as I am okay with eggs and cheese in little to moderate amount. I don't eat chicken or any meat. This one really looks like a yummy snack.
