I waited, and waited, and waited

I was waiting for my student to come to school today. We finally got in touch with his mom. Mom had a day off, so she was taking her two younger boys to a Pumpkin Patch. I am glad he got to have a nice day out. We have enough para's absent that I could pick up and follow someone else's schedule. It was an easy day.

She works in a school in a different town and sometimes thinks we are off when we are not. She was off so she thought we were.

My guess is she assumed we were off, because the Catholic School where she teaches was off for end of the quarter.

She may have thought we were off, because her school, a private school, in another town was off. I think something like this happened last year. I think we will be off November 1 for end of the 9 weeks.

I am only guessing, but she works in a different school system that ours and her system was closed for end of the grading period and she probably thought we were as well. It has happened before.
