A girl in Oregon has a close encounter with a coyote in Oregon

Charlie Schmidt who is the father of a four year old girl who did not give out her first name saw a coyote in her backyard in Portland Oregon on Saturday October 12 was in the company of his daughter when they saw a coyote chasing his daughter who managed to use her wits to climb a plastic picnic table.
The coyote decided to decided to flee the home by walking away down the driveway unharmed.
Charlie is thankful that the coyote decided not to harm his child.

good thing that the girl knew what to do to escape it.
knowing me as a child (and maybe now too) - i would try to make that coyote our family pet

I know what you mean since some of us think the cartoon version of coyotes are similar to a real life version.

There are so many wild animals coming in to the residences houses in your place. I hope everyone is always okay about it and none of the animals and people are hurt always.

That is true that many animals come into the residences looking for food since their homes are being cut off by humans.

That is true since remaining calm during an encounter with a coyote is the best way to avoid getting hurt.

The girl was lucky and resourceful to climb onto the table and away from the coyote.
Coyotes are becoming more aggressive these days, due to their becoming used to being around humans, and so they can be a real threat to humans, these days too.
