Jelly is a quick fix dessert. We get ready to mix packets with instructions. In minutes it gets ready and once kept inf ridge it is ready. Jelly comes in many flavours and colours too. I like to eat it along with fruit salad or ice cream. Jelly is good for your hair and nails. My nails grow fast but not so sure of my hair. When we first got our fridge there was an over doze of jelly in our household. Image credit:

We call this Jello, and then we have jam and jelly for toast, etc. But they are all three different, if that makes any sense. No matter what they are called, they are all good food!

@allknowing Jelly is made from fruit and pectin or gelatine. We put it on our breads. Jello is a wiggly dessert, we make it with hot water and the Jello powder we get at the store, it comes in many flavors. Here is a picture from Amazon that shows all the flavors.

@allknowing To cook it's just the time necessary for the dairy cream to boil and dissolve the sugar. You need to dissolve the jelly, in a little quantity of cold dairy cream, when it boils you remove from the heat, add the gelatin, stir to dissolve, pour in the molds and let set in the refrigerator a couple of hours. You can serve with a sauce, or syrup. I like to prepare a strawberry coulis.

I like to make jelly with beaten evaporated milk. It is a sort of bavarois.

@allknowing I beat the evaporated milk and pour a cup of hot water into a package of jello. I stir it and when is coll I beat the jello into the beaten cold milk. Then you can either place it in glasses or a pot in the fridge for about an hour.

Actually I haven't eaten jelly for quite a long time. In the past I would make it since my son liked it. Now he grows up and he is not interested in jelly so much already

I had a conversation with a friend from Sri Lanka about "jelly" and "jello". Here, we call the dessert "jello" - and the smooth jam type "jelly" (as Judy described). I think she said with British influence, they call it jelly like they do? We have various packets of "jello" on hand too. I find that it helps with skin too!

We used to eat a lot of jelly when we lived on the farm. I guess it was a cheap dessert. I always liked it.

It was favourite while I was a child . Usually had that as a breakfast during holidays. We would keep them overnight in the fridge back then and it would get set by morning. I never liked the orange flavour . Loved the other ones including the traditional and famous red jelly. I still have jelly at times but lost that childish enthusiasm of having it. The current jeel mix sets faster than what I used to have when I was a child. Never had it with fruit salad or ice cream. The post actually gave me the idea to try it out next time thanks to you. I am not aware of other uses of jelly. Never knew jelly was good for hair or nails. Glad to know your interests. Have a nice day!
